BTA IN BANGKOK, THAILAND
As you grow old, you will notice some scowl lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet on your facial skin. These unattractive lines develop as a result of the aging muscles which lie beneath the skin. These furrows deepen and become worse with age.
Fortunately, you can reduce the impact of aging on your face by going for BTA (Botulinum toxin type A), which is a purified and sterilized bacterial extract. BTA will stop the excessive active contraction of your facial muscles, thus making them unable to cause the deep lines.
A BTA injection takes approximately 2 to 5 days for it to be effective in the area of the muscle. Fillers may also be required alongside Botox for deep lines. BTA has proven to remove and soften wrinkles quickly and is possibly the easiest approach in removing and softening the furrows.
BOTOX
How BTA works
OnabotulinumtoxinA is commonly injected into an individual in minimal concentrations. It prevents the nerve cell signals from reaching muscles thus making the muscles relax temporarily. Only a few and slight wrinkles appear when the muscles relax.
Medical and aesthetic BTA uses
BTA is essential in:
- Reducing the appearance of facial furrows and fine lines such as forehead lines, glabellas, crow’s feet, perioral folds, platysmas and bunny lines.
- Minimizing excess sweating and body stench.
- Minimizing the square shape appearance of a person’s face which occurs as a result of muscle contraction.
Dangers and side effects of botox
Although Botox has few side effects, it has been noted that approximately 1% of individuals who are injected with the bacterial extract develop antibodies against the toxin, leading to inefficiency in the following treatments.
Rarely, a person may develop a genetic predisposition that causes a mild, temporary and abnormal response to the medication.
BTA may cause the following adverse effects:
- Slight pain, local edema and/or erythema on the area that has been injected.
- Temporary numbness
- Headache
- Slight nausea
- Transient and undesirable weakness of the surrounding musculature
- Short-term drooping of the upper lid or brow
- The lower eyelid or lateral rectus becomes weak
- Weakness of the neck
- Brachial plexopathy
- Bleeding
- Unclear vision
- Dryness of the mouth
- Extreme tiredness
- urticaria
- Rashes
- whistling
- Inflammation
